MSJC 2013: Changes and How They Can Help You Today
The 2011 MSJC is referenced in the 2012 IBC, and the 2013 MSJC is referenced in the 2015 IBC. This web seminar covers the major changes from the 2011 to the 2013 MSJC code. Some of the changes that are discussed include the change in the unit strength table for CMU masonry and changes in the modulus of rupture values. New provisions in the code are discussed including the moment magnification method and a partially grouted shear wall factor. The impact of the changes on masonry design is presented.
