Jared Brewe, Ph.D., P.E., S.E.

While much less common than in structural steel, welding has many applications for steel reinforcement in cast-in-place and precast concrete construction. This webinar will cover welding of steel reinforcement in new and existing concrete construction, provide background on welding process requirements and the development of a PQR (Procedure Qualification Record) and WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), discuss design related requirements in ACI 318 and AWS D1.4, and address construction and special inspection requirements of the IBC.
